Interest Groups
We have many opportunities for social interaction at UUCF. You don’t need to be a member of our congregation to participate in any of our activities. Click on the group name that interests you and you will see a brief description of that group.
Bunco Group
Once a month UUCF women join for laughter and fun by playing "non-traditional" Bunco. Each month one member hosts and organizes dinner or light appetizers, wine, and dessert in her home. Everyone puts $10 in a pot and several go home as winners.
Choir
Our choir members love to sing and to contribute their talents to our Sunday services. They also perform during some of our social events. Practices are held on Thursday evenings at 7 pm and on Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Anyone interested may join. Being able to read music is a plus, but certainly not a must. For more information, please contact Judi Herz, our Minister of Music.
Circle Suppers
Circle Suppers are potluck meals served in the homes of our members 4-5 times a year. If you are new to the congregation or even if you’ve been around for awhile, this is a great way to make new friends. So sign up, bring a dish, and enjoy a good meal with intelligent conversation. See the calendar for the date of the next Supper. For more information, to sign up to host or to attend, please contact Gwen Fyke. We also have Family Circle Suppers for those in the congregation who would like to include their children in the pot luck evening. These dinners are held more often. Contact Sangeeta Swendson for more information.
Foreign Foods Friday
| Foreign Foods Friday is a group of “Foodies” who enjoy eating out together once a month and trying out all kinds of interesting cuisines. They meet on the fourth Friday of each month at a different restaurant each time. This is an open group and all are welcome to attend. | Fuddy Duddies |
The Fuddy Duddies is a retirees’ breakfast club that meets at 9:30 am on the first Monday of each month at a different restaurant chosen by the members. It’s the monthly celebration of the arrival of the Social Security checks! Non-elders are welcome too. Contact Jan Lillibridge for more information.

This group meets sporadically with a few practices before each performance. |
Hiking Group
This energetic group led by Steve Schuster, meets once a month for a 2-3 hour hike in our local mountains. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Experience nature while you exercise and enjoy your UU friends at the same time. What a perfect afternoon.
Lunch Bunch
The Lunch Bunch is a group who get together every Sunday at 12:30 pm after our service to have lunch together at Marie Callender’s in Placentia. This is open to everyone and is a great way to get to know new people. Contact Pat Woodhull for more information.

Movie and Dinner with Rev. Jon Dobrer
This open group meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm for dinner and a movie discussion at a local restaurant. A different movie is chosen each month. See the movie when you can on your own and then come to the restaurant for a lively discussion and a good meal. What a great way to keep up with the current movie scene. See the calendar for the movie title for this month. Contact Marlies Worley for more information and to RSVP. Seating at the restaurant is usually limited.

They have been around since 1990 and have been moderately successful with their investments. The cost is $100 to join and $35/ month for dues.
