With Love at the center of all that we do, UUCF Social Action upholds values of interdependence and pluralism through generosity of time, talent, and treasure.  We strive to promote transformation, equity, and justice to the larger community by collaborating with like-hearted souls to bring a sense of belonging and inclusion to those among us who are marginalized. Love is the power that holds us together and is at the center of our shared values and all that we do for Social Action. Social Action values Interdependence, we recognize that we cannot make meaningful changes on our own, and we must reach out; collaborating with like-hearted souls we work to repair harm and damaged relationships in the broader community. Social Action celebrates Pluralism, that we are all sacred beings diverse in culture, experience, and theology; seeking to learn from one another as we strive to make a better world for all. Social Action works to promote Justice where all can thrive, dismantling all forms of systemic oppression and allowing for the fair and inclusive democratic processes to make decisions. Social Action adapts to Transformation in a changing world; recognizing that the needs of those marginalized in our community are ever evolving, and, although imperfect, we do our best to respond to these changes. Social Action cultivates the spirit of Generosity, sharing our varied talents, time, privileges, and treasure to enrich our Beloved Community; knowing that when we give it enriches us as well.
