Clase Dominical de Exploración Religiosa para Adultos

The ancient Hebrews saw prayer as a form of "self evaluation." The Greeks, "confrontation with the divine." The Romans, a form of “begging.” What do you think? Have you ever or do you currently pray? What did or does praying do for you?  Do you have a favorite prayer that you'd like to share?

Acerca del evento

Our topic for this Sunday is PRAYER.

The number and types of prayers ranges from at least 4 to as many as

20. There are prayers of gratitude, sending positive thoughts, silent centering, hope, asking, religious (e.g., God-centered) and secular (e.g., expressing, shared human values), etc.

The ancient Hebrews saw prayer as a form of "self evaluation." The Greeks considered prayer as a "confrontation with the divine." The Romans defined it as a form of "begging." Some say that statistics disprove the power of prayer.

What do you think?

Have you ever or do you currently pray?

What did or does praying do for you?

Do you have a favorite prayer that you'd like to share?

We gather in Room 121 behind the Fellowship Hall at 10:15 AM sharp.

See you there!

Dennis Spiro
