UUCF Sail Away!  Service Auction

Saturday, February 17, 2018, 5 - 9 pm in the Social Hall

The Service Auction is our biggest annual fundraising event.  UUCF members and local businesses donate goods and services that are sold to UUCF members and friends at the Auction.  Profits from the Auction support UUCF programs throughout the year.

The Auction is a fun social event that includes dinner, cocktails, and time to socialize with other UUCF members and friends.  Please plan to attend, even if you’re not able to donate or purchase items.

3-4:30 pm         Auction Setup, Donated items brought to Social Hall

5-6:30 pm         Blake’s Place BBQ Dinner, Silent Auction,
                                "Be Our Guest”  Raffle ticket sales

6:30-8:30 pm    Live Auction

8:30-9 pm        Dessert and checkout (Early checkout available, if needed)

5 - 9 pm           Children’s event in the ASA building, dinner and Silent Auction

$15 door donation requested (one beverage included).  Vegetarian menu items provided.
No-host bar serving: Sailor’s Delight cocktails, Anchor beer, wine, soft drinks.

The ”Be Our Guest” raffle supports hospitality for new and prospective members.  Proceeds from raffle ticket sales are used to purchase seats at Auction events throughout the year.  New and prospective members are invited to enjoy these events and get better acquainted with us.

On Auction night, please bring: cash or checks for your door donation, ”Be Our Guest” raffle tickets, and Auction purchases; cash for beverages; your calendar so you can bid on the wonderful dinners and parties that will be offered; and your Auction catalog (the catalog will be published before the Auction, please print one; limited copies will be available on Auction night).

If you can’t be with us on Auction night, you can still participate!  Your donated items can help us raise money.  Someone can bid for you on items and events you wouldn’t want to miss!

Member donations ensure a successful Service Auction!  Donation suggestions:

Events:  meal, game night, pool party, etc - simple or elaborate - for a large group or small.  Members often collaborate to host events.

Services:  computer help, transportation, handyman, gardening, child care, music recitals, tutoring, etc.  Be creative! 

Handcrafted items:  jewelry, baked goods, artwork, craft items, etc - may be already made or to be completed at a later date.  Handmade items of any value are greatly appreciated.

Retail items: jewelry, small household items, collectibles or retail gift cards.  Donated items should be new or in excellent condition.  We ask that each retail item have a value of at least $20. 

How to donate:

Please include a date for a donated event.  You may confirm dates beforehand with Cathy Boon.

You may suggest a minimum bid.  The Auction team may adjust the minimum bid, as they see fit.

The deadline to submit donation information is Sunday, January 28, 2018.  Please submit soon!

Please bring donated items to the Social Hall between 3 and 4:30 pm on Auction day.
