Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Fullerton
Circulo de Amigas
alleviating poverty one girl at a time
Circulo de Amigas is a volunteer-run, registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, working to alleviate poverty in Nicaragua one girl at a time.  The organization helps girls and young women acquire the skills and tools needed to improve their lives.  They enable girls to attend school and give direct aid to victims of severe hardship. These girls live in Jinotega, one of the poorest communities in the world.
Currently, 100 students are sponsored, many of them by UUCF members. UUCF has also organized many fundraisers to help this small community build a library.  Every penny that is given to Circulo de Amigas goes directly to the families.
If you are interested in working with UUCF to make a difference in the lives of these girls,
