Lifespan Faith

Unitarian Universalism is a faith home for people who seek to transform ourselves, our communities, and the world we share. We take a lifespan and “whole congregation” approach to faith development, which we refer to as “Lifespan Faith." Explore some of the many programs and opportunities we offer to grow individually, as well as together in our shared values. Growing together does not necessarily mean agreeing or believing in the same doctrines or theories, but respecting each other's responsible search for truth certainly results in personal and congregation growth.

Programs for Adults

Small Group Ministries

The groups within our small group ministry have trained facilitators and limited capacity. Sign ups begin in August and the groups meet October thru June. Click on the link to the form
to see full descriptions of each group and to sign-up.

Wisdom Circle

The Wisdom Circle is a small group for seniors to connect and discuss shared concerns. Each 90-minute session includes a check-in and a group-chosen topic. Meets twice a month with 8–10 participants plus a facilitator.

Chalice Circles

Chalice Circles are small groups (6–8 participants plus a facilitator) that meet twice a month for two hours to build connections at UUCF and engage in shared spiritual exploration.

Soul Matters Circle

Soul Matters fosters deep personal reflection and spiritual growth through intentional listening and introspection, not discussion. Meets once a month for two hours with 6 participants plus a facilitator.

Community Circle

The Community Circle is a small group for all ages to share and discuss common concerns. Each 90-minute session includes a check-in and a group-chosen topic. Meets twice a month.

UU Writers Circle

The UU Writers Circle is a small group that explores monthly themes through creative writing—journaling, poetry, prose, and storytelling. participants share, support, and inspire one another on their spiritual journey.

Drop In Groups

Drop In Support (Zoom)

An informal Zoom Drop-In Support Group meets on the first Saturday of each month from 12:30–1:30 PM for participants to check in and offer mutual support. Hosted by Karen Anderson.

Women's Group

A sacred space for females and female-identifying persons to discuss whatever is on their minds. A personal check-in, followed by a discussion on a theme and how the theme resonates for each of us. Meets once a month for 90 minutes. 4th Tuesday afternoon or 4th Wednesday evening

Men's Group

A sacred space for males and male-identifying persons to discuss whatever is on their minds. There is time for personal check-in, followed by a discussion on a theme and how the theme resonates for each of us. Meets twice a month for 90 minutes.
1st & 3rd Tuesdays

Improv (RSVP required)

Have you ever wanted to try improv but felt too nervous? This is the perfect opportunity! A beginner-friendly session is being hosted on the 2nd Wednesdays of the month.
The basics will be covered in a low-pressure, high-fun way, playing some easy games to build confidence. No experience is needed, just a willingness to play. RSVP so we have a headcount. Hope to see you there!

Self- Care Support Group (Zoom)

The self care group focuses on self care topics such as dealing with stress, achieving goals, life balance, meditation, exercise, making friends, and having a positive attitude.
We start with a check-in and then have a discussion on the topic that was suggested or selected by the facilitator. Our discussion has the benefit of others sharing what has worked for them and the progress they have made.
3rd Saturday of the month.

Guided Meditation

Join us for Guided Meditation on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 1pm to 2pm. Pat Mannion and other facilitators offer an hour of sitting practice to help us deal with the stress and anxiety of today's world. Join us for breathwork, lovingkindness, vipassana, mindfulness and guided meditation suitable for beginners and all levels of seekers.

Chimes Rehearsal

We'd like to invite you to join the UUCF Chime Choir! We're a group that enjoys making beautiful music with hand chimes and we'd love to have you share in the joy of ringing.
You don't need to be able to read music. The music is color-coded for easy note identification. A passion for music and a willingness to learn is all you need. The chimes choir plays for special services.
We look forward to the possibility of you joining our chime family!

Adult RE

Popular leader-guided discussions on various spiritual topics. Led by Ed Tschabrun and Dennis Spiro. Meets every Sunday for 1 hour before Service.

End of Life Journey

Many of us have hopes and/or concerns about the end of our lives but rarely do we get a chance to discuss them with others. This online group led by Dr. Karen Anderson and Pat Mannion, will provide an opportunity to explore and discuss different aspects of the end-of-life journey. They meet on Zoom, the 4th Saturday at 12:30pm every other month.
