Unitarian Universalist Cong. Fullerton

What principles should guide a socialist society as it works toward a world without exploitation? How does the new communism developed by Bob Avakian approach that question? How and why does changing economic relations also mean changing how people think about and treat one another?

About the event

Our discussion leader this week is our own Connor Atwood.

From Connor: What principles should guide a socialist society as it works toward a world without exploitation? We will explore how the new communism developed by Bob Avakian approaches that question. We will also discuss how and why changing economic relations also means how people think and treat one another; why truth, criticism and dissent matter; why the methods used to make a political revolution must serve its liberating goals; and, of course, how all this relates to UU values.

We meet in Room 121 behind the Fellowship Hall at 10:15 AM sharp.

See you there!

Dennis Spiro

UUCF acknowledges that this land is situated in the original ancestral homelands of the Acjachemen, Kizh, and Tongva peoples. May we have the humility and courage to help restore what has been broken, and the wisdom to live into a new solidarity with Indigenous communities and the earth.
