A message of empowerment for Pride month and year round

A blessing, a prayer, an invitation, a message of empowerment for Pride month and year round.

The definition of LGBTQ+ pride is, "the promotion and self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of the community," but as we celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride month, let us look at another definition of pride: a group of lions.

May this month empower those who feel oppressed, unwelcome, and unaffirmed in their families, houses of worship, in their states, and countries. May they find that inner strength, light, and sense of "Knowing" just as a lion does within their "pride."

A lion is not taught it belongs, or that it is powerful; it Knows. But many in the LGBTQ+ community don't have a place to belong. May those suffering Know "belonging"; that the world is their den. May they ROAR.
